Schools Manager

We wish to make working with Sixth-Form students a key part of what we do at New Turn and this year to facilitate that aim we intend on creating two schools projects. The two projects are a "Journalism Workshop" and another entitled "The meaning of Aid".

The "Journalism Workshop", will be focused towards training the students on how to digest the information in the media. Currently, we are looking for someone who will work alongside the London Students Newspaper New turn brings in this Autumn to make this programme ready for the Spring term. Please note you will also be working alongside guest journalists and editors.

Person Specification

  • needs to be able to devote 5 hours a week during standard working hours (9am-5pm) to this project
  • enjoys working with young people
  • is able to manage people
  • feels comfortable working with people in positions of power
  • can draft and implement simple plans
